Defending this guy for an action like that is reprehensible. We send our children to school to learn. I would never want my child to be sent into an environment where there is even the slightest threat of being injured by an “emotional” outburst by the coach. There is a reason why states like Pennsylvania and New Jersey require Criminal Background checks and Child Abuse checks. Those checks are to prevent against situations just like this. His actions are deplorable and he should be fired.

Toymachine875, you are right. America is in the shitter because there are very few teachers out there that are throwing Volleyballs at their own students heads. If only we could see the error in our ways. We should all propose this as the new Recovery Act. Forget Trillions of dollars in spending and creating jobs for people that have been laid off. Southern Regional School District Superintendant Craig Henry told The Press Monday afternoon that the incident was an anomaly and completely out of character for Maxwell.

“This coach is a faith-based individual and he is moved to emotion every time it comes up,” he said. “He’s a class act in everything he does.”
