The Negaunee Miners defeated the Ishpeming Hematites in District Semifinal action in Ishpeming, Michigan on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Negaunee took the first set 25-23 only to lose the second set 25-8. Negaunee came back strong leading the third set 8-1 before giving up its next point. Negaunee went on to win the third and forth set to take the match and move on to the district finals against the Gwinn Modeltowners on Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Ishpeming, Michigan.

Morgan Van Alstine is a 6’1″ Middle Blocker from Merritt Island,FL. She plays Club volleyball for the Orlando Volleyball Academy (OVA) 16 Asics Team. She is a junior at Merritt Island High School and will graduate in 2013.
