This February, America’s top high school football players will take on the best high school-aged players from around the world. The 2011 U-19 National Team, featuring players committed to top NCAA FBS schools, will face a World Select Team made up of the top players from outside the United States. Team USA will be led by Cincinnati St. Xavier High School head coach Steve Specht. Past U-19 National Teams have featured players who have gone on to play at NCAA FBS schools such as Texas, Nebraska, LSU, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Miami (Fla.). The IFAF World Team features players from Mexico, Canada, Japan, American Samoa, Australia, Sweden and Germany, a number of whom are committed to NCAA FBS schools. The 2012 International Bowl kicks off at 5 pm CT at Kelley Reeves Athletic Complex in Austin, Texas.

Davis committed to WASU for a full-ride scholarship this past summer, but the Cougars pulled the plug on the deal following a coaching change. WASU’s decision turned into a blessing for Davis though after the Arizona State Sun Devils came calling. Now the BC High School Player of the Year is packing his bags for a PAC-12 powerhouse. The referees allowed these fouls to occur the entire game. Not a single technical, intentional/flagrant foul was ever called. The WIAA needs to take a closer look at this before a player suffers a serious injury. Each foul is replayed at different speeds for closer review.
