2012 Northern Lights Conference Co-MVP Kaillee Skjold and the Soldotna Stars and the Kodiak Bears play in a Semi Final matchup at the 2012 Northern Lights Conference Championship Basketball Tournament at Wasilla High School. The winner will be guaranteed entrance in the 2012 4A Alaska State Basketball Championship Tournament in Anchorage.

It was the high school football game of the year in south Florida – #1 Glades Central (5A) vs. #2 American Heritage (3A). In this clip from Heritage’s year-end documentary highlight film, the game of September 15, 2011 is profiled with player interviews and game clips that capture all the drama of this overtime thriller. It was one of the rare hyped-up games that lived up to its expectations. The referees allowed these fouls to occur the entire game. Not a single technical, intentional/flagrant foul was ever called. The WIAA needs to take a closer look at this before a player suffers a serious injury. Each foul is replayed at different speeds for closer review.
