He has been playing on his 8th grade HoopStar team and they have won 8 tournaments since the Fall. 6 High School Tournaments and two 8th grade Tournaments. In this video you can see how his game has matured. He picks his spots and is a true point guard. His ability to read defense is way beyond his years and his skills are improving by the day. In the games filmed for this video he averaged 18 points per game, 9 assists, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds. This is a 5ft 1 seventh grade point guard playing up vs 8th grade thru High School AAU Basketball Teams. On his 8th grade team his teammates are 6ft 7, 6ft 5, 6ft 3, 6ft 2, 6 ft, 5ft 11, and 3 at 5ft 9.
Although just a sophomore, David Tanis looks like he’s going to be a high school star at RB for the next two years before becoming a top college recruit. With breakaway 4.5 speed and great running toughness, David made his mark for Olympic Heights (Boca Raton, FL) in 2010. Now he’ll be playing for state champion runner-up American Heritage (Delray Beach), which will feature him in the running game of their high-powered offense.
