We were 7 – 3 my senior year and got crushed by Butler in the State Playoffs back when they only took 4 teams. If we had the current Verona Coach, Lou Racioppe I think we probably would have had one or maybe 2 more wins and a lot better showing in the State game. Racioppe is a great game coach and would have made the necessary adjustments. Unfortunately Coach Kap didn’t possess those skills.

I am doing out defensive highlights next. Covello, Anico, and D’Angelo had monster years. If Jeff D’Angelo would have been healthy the entire year he would have put up numbers on par with Anico. We had a solid backfield, good offensive line and strong/tall Tight Ends. Our problem in a nutshell was our head coach. We ran a simplistic Delaware Wing T. If you listen to the audio on some of the game tapes you can hear the parents in the crowd calling out the plays before the snap.
