Top-40 recruit Noel Johnson to commit to USC By David Wharton, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer September 23, 2008 Noel Johnson, a 6-foot-7 guard from Fayetteville, Ga., will commit to the USC basketball team, according to his father, former NBA player Cheese Johnson. Noel, who is expected to make a formal announcement Tuesday, was ranked among the top 40 prospects in the nation by Rivals.com. He had visited campus with his family and godfather Xavier McDaniel, another NBA veteran.

Noel will be choosing between Clemson and LSU. He visited LSU on tuesday andhe said it went “pretty well”. He visits Clemson Thursday so we will see what happens.
