Garrett Karp a senior on the Rocky Mountain Lobos Basketball team comes in to the game against cross town rival Fort Collins High School and hits a 3 point basket. Garrett had just found out the day of the game that his cancer was in remission. This game was played on Tuesday February 16th, 2010.

@ albinodroid: I agree. This was an emotional moment. I doubt there was anyone who didn’t feel that emotion when he banked the three. I don’t even know him, but I’m so proud of him.
And yeah, being in the band, I heard a lot of the Collins chants since they were right next to me practically. ALMOST as bad as the Fairview game last year.

One of the higlights of my senior year. Thank you so much, Garrett. We are all so proud of you/ happy for you, and we will all keep you in our thoughts as you fight off the final bit of this disease.

It was SO loud, people cheering, screaming and crying. The entire opposing team went over and, one by one, hugged Garret. I have never been in such a happy room.
