NBADraft.net compared him to Al Jefferson; that’s a good comparison, with maybe a touch of Carlos Boozer’s athleticism (before Boozer went to Duke and put on 40 lbs.).

He’ll be a viable offensive threat at OSU, but I think he’s going to have problems on the defensive end. He needs to drop some weight so he can get back on defense quicker. The college game is a lot faster than high school, and a good team will get the ball back up court pretty quick. Although other centers may not be able to muscle their way to the basket, they’ll be able to outrun him. He’s going to need to sit out frequently to catch his breath.

@kylex2009xx they are TWO seperate people, dnt compare them two mullens wasnt all that when he was in HS, he was just a 7’0 3 pt shooter

@cityleaguehoops dud was not ready for the NBA, ppl dnt play the game for the love of it, they play for the money cars and hoes

@youdontknowme25 u do realize that the same awards he won in HS are the same awards, Lebron, Kobe, Dwight, Wade, JORDAN, etc (no need to name more) won in High School? dude is gonna own at the college level, yea he gonna lose weight, but he still gonna be dominant.

@cityleaguehoops Exactly. Two completely different players. Another big difference between the two I see in the vid… Sullinger used two hands when rebounding ;-) Mullens had superstar size and athleticism, but no desire to excel and improve at the collegiate level. It was just a pit stop on the way to the NBA.

He is already getting into better shape. I saw him play in Oregon with some of the best basketball recruits from all over the world, and he dominated that game with his speed and strength.

i think with him deshaun and some returning players they will defintley win the big ten i dont usually like ohio state but latley theyve been really fun to watch

@youdontknowme25 I agree he’s got to lose weight. He has good fundamentals, but he lacks quickness against these high school guys. I’m sure if I looked around for an AAU clip, i’d see the same thing. He’s a Big, that’s physical. But he’s still gonna be growing.. just needs to lay off the Little Debbie’s..

@youdontknowme25 thats true but he can also shoot the jump shoot if he can keep a good inside game he will be dominant tho hes a good ballplayer
