Bryant was chosen as the 13th overall draft pick by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. However, according to Arn Tellem, Bryant’s agent at the time, Bryant playing for the Charlotte Hornets was “an impossibility”.[24] Nevertheless, the Charlotte Hornets selected Bryant, seeing that there was a chance to trade with the Lakers.[] On July 1, 1996, West traded his starting center, Vlade Divac, to the Hornets in exchange for Bryant’s draft rights.

You know some kids will be pros as young as 6th grade J’Mychal Reese(2012) has a chance to be a special guard in the league. Andre Drummond(2012) is the next big thing right now along with Michael Gilchrist(2011). Jeremy Tyler(2010. HS drop out to play in Europe) could be a Stoudemire like player in the NBA but needs work. Brandon Knight(2010) should be good.
